Custom orders
Most people find what they want in the shop. If you genuinely need something made to spec, here is how that works.
Try the shop first
Custom work costs more and takes longer than buying something ready-made, and roughly nine times out of ten the thing someone describes to us already exists on the site in a slightly different colourway. Have a look before you write — it will probably be in your hands sooner.
What we do take on
- Size, length or colour changes to something already in the shop
- Personalization — initials, a date, a name
- Small batches for an event: favours, place cards, gift sets
- A kit built around a project we do not stock yet
What we do not do: reproduce another maker’s design from a photograph, or work to a deadline we do not think we can hit. We will say so rather than take the order and disappoint you.
How it works
- You send the brief. Use the form below, or email [your@email.com].
- We reply within [1 business day] with feasibility, a firm price, and a timeline.
- You approve the specification in writing before any work begins. Nothing is charged until you do.
- We make it — typically [5–7] business days for straightforward changes, longer for complex work. We tell you promptly if anything slips.
What to include
The more of this you can answer, the faster we can quote:
- What kind of thing — jewelry, a bag, a candle, stationery, a kit, or a mixed set
- Material preference, and anything you need us to avoid
- Size, length or capacity, if you know it (see Sizes & Fit)
- Any personalization — initials, a date, a name — and the exact spelling
- Quantity. One piece and thirty favours are very different jobs
- Your budget range. This is the single most useful thing you can tell us
- When you need it by. If it is for a specific date, say the date
- Reference images, if you have them
Before you send
Custom work cannot be returned for a change of mind, because it was made for you. If it arrives damaged, or does not match what you approved in writing, we fix it or refund you in full. That is the whole trade-off, stated up front.
